Teeth Grinding

Posted on: February 1st, 2016 by The DC Dentist

Teeth grinding often happens while you’re sleeping. Teeth grinding can be caused not just by stress and anxiety but by sleep disorders, an abnormal bite or teeth that are missing or crooked. The symptoms of teeth grinding include but are not limited to:

  • dull headaches
  • jaw soreness
  • painful or loose teeth
  • fractured teeth

At your dental office you can have a custom made night guard as opposed to the over-the-counter ones, in which you boil the material and then bite into it. Although they are cheaper,  they don’t fit well and cause more problems long-term.

If you think a night guard may be the solution you are looking for, then come in for a consult with one of our doctors.
